Am I anchored in hope?

Back in Hebrews again... studying "anchor". Reading here last week, I had no idea how much I would need an anchor for my soul in this present day.

The anchor is an emblem of hope... it secures, keeps one steadfast in the time of trial or doubt, and holds safely in position.I love the note in my commentary: "Hope is an anchor to steady our souls while we wait on God in present storms." If we take hold of Him, we WILL have steadiness to endure. To persevere. And perseverance is the hallmark of God's people. As Hebrews 3:6 says: But Christ is faithful as the Son over God's house. And we are His house, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.

Hoping in Christ guarantees our safety.
Looking to Christ strengthens our hope.
Holding to Christ positions our hearts.

Questions I'm asking myself... Am I anchored in hope? Am I in position? Am I ready for what God has in store, even while the wind and waves surround me?
