Hope as an anchor

Been leaning into "hope as an anchor" lately. The end of 2017 / beginning of 2018 have been such a whirlwind that I’ve had no time for reflecting or goal-setting. Hoping to get to that soon! In the meantime, I'm gonna rest here... in being anchored in hope.

I love how the Message puts Heb 6:19-20: We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God...

No tiptoeing around God's promises. No cautiously skeptical questions. Let's grab hold of hope with both hands and never let go. No matter what it looks like, let's look above the waves. Let's hold on and with the faith of too old Abraham, too surrounded Moses, too doomed Daniel, too barren Hannah – believe that God is able to do "far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!" (Eph 3:20 MSG)
