Red Sea Road

Haven't quite been able to get off the Red Sea Road since last year. The Lord has consistently brought my attention back to Exodus and my familiarity with the grumbling Israelites feels like a mirror reflection sometimes. But in loving kindness He patiently course-corrects my heart away from complaining to contentment, from worry to worship.

There is absolutely no doubt that along the way to promise fulfilled, He has provided glimpses of His glory to keep my eyes forward and my soul pressing on - manna to sustain my hope. He is making a way through the barrenness, quite literally. Clearing a path filled with idols, doubt, selfishness, worry and the like - straight to the feet of Jesus, the source of all life.

I'm ever learning that the only way to cling to the True Vine is with empty hands. Humbly, gratefully, fully believing that no matter the landscape, He is providing exactly what I need according to the riches of His glory.

So thankful for divinely timed resources like Robert J. Morgan's "The Red Sea Rules" and Ellie Holcomb's "Red Sea Road" to lean on in this journey. If you haven't checked them out, don't wait - you'll be glad you did!
