SELAH

SELAH. A simple word packed with so much meaning... pause, wait, stop and listen, take a breath, give thanks. For those that know me well, this word means so much more.

It's been 5 years of an incredibly long wait, but we are not without hope... far from it. God is speaking, and not one word He speaks will return void (amen?). He is ordering our steps, writing a story beyond our finite understanding. We aren't striving, because He's in total control and has our surrendered "yes" no matter what we face.

One day I will look back on all the heartbreak, prayers, tears, fits of frustration, surges of expectation followed by desperation... and see with full sight in total awe. But today, we lean in to what we can't see just yet... "faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see" (Heb 11:1). We rest in His promises. Our confidence is His faithfulness.

Embracing this Selah season with all the hope in our hearts. "But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently" (Rom 8:25).
